Help! PC

hey guys im having a problem with my computer whenever i click anything it says choose a program to open file with i tried system restore but it didnt work it said the same thing choose a program to open file with. i have a dell vostro 400 windows xp professional please any help

rt click / properties / opens with ... change

is it one file type or multiple file types?

sounds like whatever you had set to be the default program has failed

Oh ive had this happen to me before. itz a virus. What you have to do is click on system restore and when it asks you to look for the exe. go to my computer, search, and search for the specific exe. when u find it. pay attention to the folder and location it's in. Then with the other window still open, just find it click on it and system restore will open.
