gotta recommend the HiPoint line ... for those that want something affordable, more bang for the buck, i'd still take my HiPoint 9mm over a high priced weapon

if you're going to be just shooting at the range stick with 9mm rounds they are the 2nd cheapest to like .22 LR
You can get a box of 100 for like $10 at walmart and you can shoot all day with friends @ 10cents a bullet. 44cal rounds run like 50cents a bullet and you'll end up being more conservative on the rounds and they have alot more kick back making sharp shooting harder to pull off. I made the mistake of buying a .380 couple years ago which is the same size bullet as a 9mm but the round is 1/2 the length. I was going to get a CCW cause the gun is like the size of PDA. Unfortunately the rounds are 20-25 each and the clips hold only 6 rounds. 9mm have 10 round clips and some have like 12-15. I'd go with what have has the biggest clip and the cheapest round and you'll want to go out shooting everyday!!! If you want to be hardcore and blow allot of money get the FN5.7 they come with 3 20round clips brand new in the box for about $800 but the bullets run about $1 a piece. They have one the the fastest velocity rounds though that can penetrate bullet proof vests originally for military use only but thanks to G.W. BUSH you can pick one up at your local gun dealer pretty much anywhere.

For some serious shooting the S&W 460XVR Performance Center Model 10.5" (top)
(bottom) is a S&W .357 magnum 6" for comparison IMG_67292.jpg Left is the Hornady S&W460 Mag round middle is the Winchester .357 mag. right is the .22 lr. IMG_6750.JPG The 460XVR will shoot .45 long Colts, .454 Casull, and of course the .460 mag. I will say however shooting the .460 rounds is not cheap by any means. But I have found them for $17.50 a box of 20 as long as I buy by the case (200 rounds). |

I have a Glock 23 .40 cal with a blackhawk holster. Glocks are by far the best and most reliable gun. I was an armored car guard and I needed something reliable and to put someone on there ass and make sure they don't get back up thats y I went with a glock for reliability and the federal AST hollow points to put him down

Yeah but what sucks is unless your local dealer stocks it there's a $75 dollar handling fee. So call around. I hear cabelas has it. I'm going there after work.
There is also 3 different models of that gun. I love that its called JIC " just in case". Fucking beautiful. Last edited by hypnotiq; 01-23-2009 at 11:05 AM. |

I still have it and have gone through over 1000 rounds now. Most definitely not a "one hander" though. |

hyp, since you live in the chicago area, check a place out called Chucks in riverdale(s.sub). they have the best prices around that I have found and they have no prob ordering if you leave a downpayment. Mossberg owned another company called maverick and they made a identical shotgun(maverick 88) I once owned until recently(THX chicago police).hence my name.

Not that my opinion may count much, but this is what I carry and love it. Light not much recoil, has been reliable for me with no failture to fire or feed problems. |
