    T-Mobile's iTouch 3G (Google)

Finally, we can separate the wheat from the chaff. If you look back at the different specs, names, and other fodder that I've written about regarding this phone, you'll find a plenty of chaff. So much so, that I might consider GIMPing up a few of my own devices during the next slow news week.

This multitasking 3G beauty is equipped with POP/IMAP/Exchange support, MMS, stereo bluetooth, and direct uploading to You Tube and Picassa. Voice dialing and voice search are also ready to go. It has a 3.2Ē HVGA capacitive touch screen and weighs in at 4 oz. Inside, you'll find a 4 Gig micro SD, so you'll have plenty of room for DRM-free tracks from Amazon as well as your own photos and videos taken with the 3.2 (not 5.0) MP camera. The spec sheet boasts 600 standby hours and six of talk time. And check out this snippet from the press release:

"Sherpa [is] an application that features GENIE (Geodelic ENgine for Interest Evaluation), a learning engine that automatically customizes itself to the userís preferences. Created by Geodelic, Sherpa learns a personís likes and dislikes through behavior and user feedback, prioritizing recommended retailers, restaurants and attractions."

Pre-orders for current T-Mobile customers start July 8 for $199.99 with a new two-year contract. myTouch will be available in stores early August.

As a man, I'm flesh and blood. I can be ignored, I can be destroyed... but as a symbol, I can be incorruptible, I can be everlasting.

Exactly. The G1 was hideous but had a keyboard, this one is a beauty but the keyboard has been left out.
I would be so satisfied if HTC manufactured an Android OS version of the Touch Pro 2.

The UI is attractive. It's "chin" and lack of keyboard make it another Android device that I cannot take seriously.

just noticed they are calling it the HTC Magic, thought the G1 was it but it was HTC Dream. I think the best HTC device that i had ever owned was the Tilt or the HTC TyTN II. Had the keyboard, had the touch screen, the 3.2mp camera, and it was running windows mobile.
